ECE R10 Conducted Emission (CE-AC) Limits

ECE R10 – REESS Conducted Emissions of charging mode coupled to the power grid

Quick reference for ECE R10 Conducted Emission limits specifically for REESS charging mode coupled to the power grid (CE-AC).

Frequency (MHz) Quasi-peak (dBµV) Average (dBµV)
0.15 - 0.5 66 to 56 56 to 46
0.5 - 5 56 46
5 - 30 60 50

* In the 0.15 to 0.50 MHz range, the limit decreases linearly with the logarithm of the frequency.

ECE R10 REESS Conducted Emission Overview

ECE R10 specifies the electromagnetic compatibility requirements for vehicles and electronic sub-assemblies (ESAs). For electric and hybrid vehicles, the Conducted Emission limits measured on an AC Artificial Network (CE-AC) are specifically applicable to the REESS (Rechargeable Energy Storage System) when it is in charging mode and coupled to the power grid (AC power port).

These regulations ensure that the vehicle's onboard charging system does not inject excessive high-frequency noise back into the public AC power distribution network.
