How to read the UN Regulation No. 10 radiated-emission reference

Use this page for the R10 vehicle radiated-emission reference, where the broadband and narrowband rows answer different receiver questions. The 10 m geometry, detector, bandwidth, scan step and dwell conditions must be read as one setup.

Choose before comparing

Confirm that the result is the vehicle radiated-emission context and retain the 10 m separation before reading a margin. The 30–1 000 MHz reference uses dBµV/m, 120 kHz receiver bandwidth, 50 kHz maximum step and 5 ms minimum scan time; broadband quasi-peak and narrowband average are separate.

What the displayed rows mean

Vehicle geometry and unit
The reference is a 10 m vehicle radiated-emission comparison from 30–1 000 MHz in dBµV/m.
Detector and bandwidth
Broadband uses quasi-peak and narrowband uses average in the encoded context; the receiver bandwidth is 120 kHz and must stay with the method.
Scan conditions
A 50 kHz maximum step and 5 ms minimum scan time describe receiver coverage conditions; they are not extra field-strength limits.

Common misread

The 10 m value, 120 kHz bandwidth, 50 kHz step and 5 ms scan time are a measurement context, not four independent limits. Do not transfer them to a charging-port CE test or silently change the vehicle geometry.
