EN 55032 Class B Conducted Emission Overview
EN 55032 (harmonized under the EU EMC Directive and aligned with CISPR 32) details the electromagnetic emission requirements for Multimedia Equipment (MME). Conducted Emission (CE) testing on AC mains ports measures the RF disturbance voltage fed back onto the power grid to ensure the protection of public power distribution systems.
Class B Equipment: Designed for use in residential environments. Because sensitive domestic radio, television, and wireless receivers are located closer to electrical networks in residential areas, Class B limits are approximately 10 dB stricter than Class A to avoid unacceptable radio frequency interference.
